Job Details
- Location: Wausau, WI
- Position: Cardiac Telemetry / Step Down RN
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours shift starting at 7:00 PM
- Schedule: 36 hours per week with alternating weekends and holidays; on-call and call-back time may be required, with low census hours billed in hour increments
Required Qualifications
- WI RN License
- BLS, ACLS
- At least 1 year of strong cardiac experience (including Cardiac Step-Down Unit, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU)
- 2 years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience
- Must be able to pass EKG test within the first week of hire
- Recent EPIC charting experience of at least 1 year
- Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

- The unit is a 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down, characterized by high patient turnover and a fast-paced environment.
- Typical patient ratios are 1:4, with a variety of cardiac and medical conditions including post-op CABG, valve procedures, arrhythmias, CHF, and post-procedure monitoring.
- Candidates should be resilient, capable of managing change independently, and able to complete tasks promptly.
- Scrub colors are flexible.
- During flu season, travelers declining vaccination are required to wear masks at all times.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
