A Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position is available in Louisville, Kentucky. The role involves caring for patients with cardiac and medical diagnoses in a 30-bed unit.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Kentucky RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
- 1 year of experience in a similar setting
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses
Chest pain, cardiac diagnoses, PCI, general medical conditions.
Patient Ratios
1:5, occasionally 1:6.

- PCA/Certified Nursing Assistant
- HUC
- Charge nurse
- Phlebotomist
- Respiratory Therapist available 24/7
- Hospitalist available 24/7

- Cerner Electronic Medical Record system
