About the role
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing specialized cardiac and geriatric patient care in a high-acuity environment. The position offers flexibility across day, night, and mid-shift hours, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.
Schedule
- Nights shift, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide care for geriatric patients with cardiac diagnoses such as chest pain, myocardial infarction, open-heart surgery, post-op cardiac cath, and post-op pacer management
- Float to one-to-one patient assignments depending on staffing needs (not normally floated)
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting
- Complete all required screenings prior to start
- Dress code: scrubs in any color, no hoodies; nose studs only piercings permitted
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cardiac patients, including care for post-operative cardiac catheterization, pacemakers, and TAVR procedures
