This role involves providing specialized patient care for individuals requiring close monitoring and intermediate level treatment. The position starts on 10/12/2026 and ends on 01/11/2027, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week. Job Details Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: 24 months of current telemetry, cardiac, stepdown, or progressive care experience; experience with ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) and Pacemaker patients; experience caring for CABG (coronary arterial bypass grafting) vascular surgical patients; EPIC electronic medical record experience; proficiency with equipment such as Alaris IV pump and wound vac; cardiac drip/titration experience; level II trauma experience; active Iowa nursing license; BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or ARC/AMERICAN RED CROSS; must have completed at least one previous travel contract within the past 18 months. Preferred Qualifications: Level I trauma experience; Nursys active multistate license; professional references from within 24 months. Additional Information: The role requires the nurse to float across all campuses as needed, including Iowa Methodist and Iowa Lutheran. Orientation is scheduled for 10/12/2026. Holiday work is required during the winter holidays unless the unit is closed. Travel experience in telemetry, cardiac, stepdown, or progressive care is necessary; no first-time travelers accepted. The nurse must provide valid documentation, including drivers license and active Iowa license, and maintain current certifications.
