Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $2,075 per week

About the Role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves providing specialized cardiac care to high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment, supporting patients with conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, post-cardiac procedures, and other complex cardiac diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients including post-surgical, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiac conditions.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage IV medications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.

Requirements

• Active Nursing license.
• Valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Professional profile and 2 professional references.
• 1 year of experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar acute care setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cardiac patients and in a coronary care setting.

The unit has a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on both days and nights.

Schedule

• Shift: 12 hours, nights.
• 36 hours per week.
• Duration: 13 weeks, starting 09/20/2026.

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
