Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $2,069 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a PCU/Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Lima, Ohio, starting September 10, 2026.

About the Role

This position involves providing care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with the following details:

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Employment Type: Travel

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care, including open heart care
• Manage chest tubes and other drains
• Deliver pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
• Perform cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms
• Assist with chest tube removal and removal of pericardial pacing wires
• Manage temporary pacers, including pericardial and transcutaneous devices
• Use and troubleshoot non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems
• Float to all units within skill level as required

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a relevant field
• Experience with post-operative open heart care
• Critical care experience (highly preferred)
• Experience with chest tube and drain management
• Proficiency in pre- and post-procedure care for radial and femoral access patients
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
• Experience with non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems

Qualifications

• Active American Heart Association BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Active Ohio or Compact RN License (verified through Nursys)

Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Ability to manage temporary pacers and troubleshoot related devices

Schedule

• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: No call required
