Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position delivering high-quality patient care by following the nursing care plan, supervising ancillary staff, and ensuring patient safety. The role emphasizes collaborative teamwork and adherence to safety protocols to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule

• Days shift, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Initiate discharge planning from day of admission
• Communicate patient status updates for team conferences to ensure continuity of care
• Provide supervision and direction to ancillary staff, delegate appropriately, and maintain a safe environment following hospital policies
• Participate in team-building activities to foster a positive work environment
• Maintain effective communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and training needs
• Assume charge responsibilities following orientation
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education
• Prioritize activities for efficient patient care delivery

Requirements

• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift
• Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift for CIRH only
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience (highly desired)

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
