About the role
Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The assignment begins October 26, 2026 and lasts 13 weeks, requiring 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts as a travel employee.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized patient care in a 15‑bed PCU that manages patients needing close monitoring and treatment.
- Support cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients.
- Utilize advanced telemetry skills.
- Collaborate with a skilled team in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Float on a rotation basis, with travelers floating first.
- Work with advanced monitoring technology and support the mobility team.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
Qualifications
- Experience titrating vasoactive medications (levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, dobutamine).
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring.
- Strong cardiovascular and vascular surgery care skills.
- Experience with arterial lines, Flo‑Tracs, temporary pacing, and chest tube management.
