Job Details
RN for Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
All patients on bedside cardiac monitors.
Typically 1:4 RN to patient ratios.
36 hours weekly, every other weekend and one major holiday per contract.
Job Requirements
- Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
- Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension Medical Surgical Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start and updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score prior to start and updated every 3 years.
- Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually for specialty.
- Documented proof of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Fit Test, Health Statement, 2 Step PPD or IGRA, and others as specified.
- Background checks including criminal background, EPLS, and employment verification.
- Ascension Resume/Profile and two professional references.
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding.
- Ascension Badge Photo (forward facing headshot with white or blue background).
Schedule Information
- 36 hours weekly.
- Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 (Day shift).
- Work every other weekend and one major holiday per contract.
Unit Specific Information
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with bedside cardiac monitors.
- Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:4.
Additional Details
- Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding.
- Offer letter, initial confirmation, and extension required.
- Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding but needs to be uploaded by unit leader within a week.
- Hiring Manager Evaluation is optional post-assignment.
- Ascension Name Change Document optional.
