Job Details

RN for Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

All patients on bedside cardiac monitors.

Typically 1:4 RN to patient ratios.

36 hours weekly, every other weekend and one major holiday per contract.

Job Requirements

  • Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
  • Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years.
  • Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years.
  • Completion of Ascension Medical Surgical Exam prior to start and updated every 3 years.
  • Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics within a year of start and updated every 3 years.
  • Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score prior to start and updated every 3 years.
  • Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start and updated annually for specialty.
  • Documented proof of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Fit Test, Health Statement, 2 Step PPD or IGRA, and others as specified.
  • Background checks including criminal background, EPLS, and employment verification.
  • Ascension Resume/Profile and two professional references.
  • Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding.
  • Ascension Badge Photo (forward facing headshot with white or blue background).

Schedule Information

  • 36 hours weekly.
  • Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 (Day shift).
  • Work every other weekend and one major holiday per contract.

Unit Specific Information

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with bedside cardiac monitors.
  • Typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:4.

Additional Details

  • Signed Assignment Agreement required for onboarding.
  • Offer letter, initial confirmation, and extension required.
  • Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding but needs to be uploaded by unit leader within a week.
  • Hiring Manager Evaluation is optional post-assignment.
  • Ascension Name Change Document optional.
