Travel Progressive Care Unit RN - $2,042 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN position in Utica, New York for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment starting 11/16/2026, lasting 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Possess good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH (NIHSS) certifications.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
