About the role
This registered nurse position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Baltimore, Maryland, involves providing direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients within a high-acuity 20-bed unit. The role includes monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Schedule
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Monitor critically ill adult patients using advanced medical equipment
- Administer medications and treatments
- Respond to emergencies promptly
- Document patient status accurately
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support to patients and families
- Follow infection control protocols
- Participate in continuing education and training to maintain clinical skills
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (Compact) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- CRRT experience
- Minimum of 0 years of nursing experience
