Job Summary

A Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility located in Rome, Georgia. The role involves providing specialized patient care on a 12-hour shift schedule, with contracts available for an 8, 10, or 13-week duration. The RN will work within a diverse medical-surgical environment, supporting various patient populations with complex needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 08/17/2026

Required Qualifications

• Licence as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the requested specialty
• Eligible to work in Georgia
• Able to work in high-acuity settings

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience

Department Support

• CNA/Nurse tech support, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, educators, staffing specialists, safety sitters, virtual patient observers, and security support available

Technology/Equipment

• EPIC electronic medical records system
• Department-specific equipment including cardiac monitors, glucometers, specialty beds, alarms, BiPap ventilators, Alaris infusion pumps, virtual RN, and virtual patient observer

Floating

• Float rotation may be required across all medical-surgical and critical care units including emergency department overflow, depending on staffing needs

Orientation

• First week includes departmental orientation from Monday to Friday, followed by 2-3 days of on-floor orientation

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
