About the role
We are seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to adult patients during the night shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient management, be adept at using telemetry, and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Administer patient care in a Progressive Care Unit environment.
- Utilize telemetry to monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly.
- Manage cardiac drips and perform interventions as necessary.
- Oversee central line care, feeding tube management, and other specialized procedures.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Cerner charting system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of charge experience in a similar setting.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Active PA or Compact nursing license required.
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
- Ability to work with an adult patient demographic.
Schedule
- Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- 13-week contract position
