About the Role
Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Saginaw, Michigan.
Shift & Schedule Details
- Shift: 7 PM - 7:15 AM, 12-hour nights
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Floating: May float to other PCU/Med Surg floors as needed
- Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend and Holiday
Responsibilities
- Perform regular assessments of patient needs and deliver skilled nursing services according to the physician's authorized plan of care and current evidence-based nursing practices (40%)
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, conducting treatments, educating patients, responding to call lights, assisting with transfers, and managing alarms (30%)
- Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and participate in updating and revising these plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, using current information to enhance patient care (20%)
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures related to nursing care (10%)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is required
- Recent travel nursing experience is highly preferred
- Active Michigan nursing license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS - AHA) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
