Travel Progressive Care RN - $2,298 per week

About the role

Work in a progressive care unit at a hospital serving a vibrant community in northeastern North Carolina. You will care for patients whose conditions are more complex than those on a medical-surgical floor but not critical enough for intensive care. The facility offers advanced technology and a collaborative, patient-centered culture, supporting recovery from cardiac events, respiratory failure, and post-surgical complications. Roanoke Rapids is known for its welcoming atmosphere and access to outdoor recreation.

Responsibilities

• Provide progressive care nursing in a PCU/step-down setting
• Monitor patients with cardiac events, respiratory failure, and post-surgical complications
• Utilize cardiac monitoring and medication titration
• Perform IV insertion
• Document care using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Work 12-hour night shifts

Required qualifications

• Active registered nurse (RN) license (Compact accepted)
• 2 years of recent progressive care or step-down experience
• BLS-AHA certification
• ACLS-AHA certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• IV insertion skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Must live outside 80-mile radius from facility

Preferred qualifications

• Travel experience
• EPIC experience

Pay

$2240.00 – $2355.00 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with tax-free stipend amount to be determined).
