Travel Progressive Care RN - $2,145 per week

About the role

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a 500‑bed Level 2 Trauma and teaching hospital in Salem, Virginia. The assignment is 13 weeks long, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a 15‑bed PCU with 1:4‑5 staffing.
• Manage post‑cardiac catheterization patients, electrophysiology studies, device placements, and groin site care.
• Perform chest tube management, epidural administration, PCA monitoring, and critical drips.
• Care for post‑operative surgical patients.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting.
• Social Security Number and date of birth required.
• Work history with no more than a 90‑day gap in the past year.
• Proficiency in chest tube management and epidural care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system.

Pay

Hourly rate $2091.00 – $2198.00 (based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week; tax‑free stipend amount to be determined).

Schedule

12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week for a 13‑week assignment.
