About the role
The Washington State Investment Board (WSIB) is seeking a Travel Program Specialist to join our dynamic Travel team. This position requires someone who can adapt quickly to changing priorities, solve complex problems, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Independently advise staff and other clients regarding the travel program.
- Define needs and plan detailed itineraries for staff, Board members, and job seekers.
- Research flight and accommodation information to ensure best value and compliance with rules, regulations, and policies.
- Support traveling clients by providing relevant information, guidance, and materials for smooth travel execution.
- Establish and maintain records and approvals for trips in accordance with agency practice for record retention purposes.
- Track and monitor workflows and assist customers using applications and systems.
- Prepare and maintain reports for travel related fiscal reconciliation.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience working in a customer service position.
- Demonstrable experience learning new systems and technologies.
- Ability to adapt swiftly to changing priorities.
- Strong experience working in the travel industry preferred.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience solving complex problems in a highly regulated environment.
