About the role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment with one of our top healthcare clients. As a PACU RN, you will assist in recovering patients from anesthesia, monitor them while they wake up from surgery, and ensure they are safely released—either by discharge to outpatient care or transfer to an inpatient unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local.
- Treat both inpatients and outpatients according to their individual needs.
- Administer diligent care through continuous monitoring, assessment, intervention, and reassessment.
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Degree from an accredited nursing program
- BLS and ACLS Certifications
- Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PACU setting
- Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility
