About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Preoperative for a 13-week assignment starting September 7, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preoperative assessments and preparations
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Manage postoperative care plans as directed
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kansas
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in preoperative care preferred
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Skills
- Proficient in electronic health record systems
- Knowledgeable in preoperative protocols and procedures
