About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Operative Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to patients preparing for surgical procedures. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring patient safety and comfort, coordinating care, and effectively communicating with both patients and surgical teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments for patients.
• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and pre-operative protocols.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses before surgery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Provide compassionate support to patients throughout the perioperative process.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of pre-operative nursing experience required.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Additional certifications in anesthesia or surgical care preferred.

Schedule

This position requires availability for the day shift from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with no call or weekend requirements.
