About the role

This travel nursing position involves providing postpartum and newborn care in the Family Birth Place at Memorial Healthcare of Owosso, Michigan. The unit offers a patient-centered, home-like environment with low-risk labor and delivery services and a healthy baby nursery, partnering with regional hospitals for high-risk cases. Spacious private rooms overlook the Shiawassee River, and support people are encouraged to participate in care. The unit is nationally recognized for high-performing maternal care and serves as a Maternity Care Access hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum and newborn care in a patient-centered environment
• Deliver care in low-risk labor and delivery services and the healthy baby nursery
• Encourage and facilitate support person participation in care
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation
• Provide patient education and maintain strong communication with patients and families

Required Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license or a multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA) certification
• AWHONN certification
• NRP certification
• 2 references in entire work history

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of recent postpartum or obstetric nursing experience
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Strong communication and patient education skills

Pay

Pay rate: $2175.00 - $2287.00

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, for a 14-week duration.
