About the role

The Registered Nurse in the Postpartum unit will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from childbirth. This role involves working with high-risk antepartum patients and caring for newborns in the nursery.

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement patient care plans for postpartum recovery.
• Provide specialized care for newborns in the nursery.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as needed.
• Educate families regarding newborn care and recovery processes.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided in the Meditech system.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid RN license; temporary licenses will not be accepted.
• Current NRP and BLS certifications are required.
• 2+ years of hospital experience preferred.
• Experience in antepartum care and newborn nursery care is essential.

Schedule

• 13-week contract position.
• 36 hours per week.
• 12-hour shifts, nights.
• Shifts available: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A, with rotating weekends.
