Overview
Polysomnographer (General) needed for a travel, temporary assignment in a hospital setting in Burlington, VT. Start date is 07/27/2026 for an estimated 13–16 weeks on a 3x12 night schedule (7:00 pm–7:00 am). Weekly pay ranges from $1,794 to $1,931. There are no guaranteed hours. This is a travel position with an on-site, overnight shift.

Responsibilities
- Perform polysomnography studies, including setup, monitoring, and data acquisition during sleep sessions
- Score sleep studies, ensure data quality, troubleshoot equipment, and assist with mask fittings and patient education
- Maintain equipment and room readiness; uphold safety and infection control standards; communicate equipment or patient concerns to the team
- Document findings and coordinate with sleep physicians; enter data and notes into the Epic EMR within the required recency window
- Manage patient flow in a high-demand setting, supporting 1:1 and 2:1 patient-to-tech ratios as assigned
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching-oriented environment to optimize study quality and patient experience
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; an Associate’s degree will be considered, preferably in a science field and/or successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sleep Technology Program
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of sleep technology experience; 3–5 years highly preferred
- Certifications: BLS required
- EMR/IT: Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
Skills
- Proficient sleep study scoring, data acquisition, troubleshooting, mask fittings, and patient education
- Strong bedside manner

- Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not available in the area
