About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio is seeking a travel Polysomnographer for a 13-week assignment in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic sleep studies to evaluate and manage patients with sleep disorders.
  • Prepare equipment, educate patients on procedures, monitor and record sleep data, and assist in analyzing results to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Review patient history and verify orders.
  • Follow procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data.
  • Identify, correct, and document artifacts to maintain the integrity of the recorded data.
  • Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of results.
  • Implement appropriate interventions as necessary.
  • Auxiliary in scoring sleep/wake stages and clinical events.
  • Follow sleep center policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of a Polysomnographer/Sleep Technician.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a sleep technology program.
  • One year of recent experience as a polysomnographer/sleep tech required.
  • Valid Sleep Technician/Polysomnography license in compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

  • Registered Sleep Technologist Certification (CPSGT or RPSGT) preferred.

Skills

Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.

The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.

Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend.

Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism.

Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.

Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail.

Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.

Pay

Based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).

Schedule

40 hours per week, 8 hours, days.
