Job Summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Polysomnographer/Sleep Tech for a 13-week assignment in Calhoun, Georgia. The position requires one year of recent experience as a polysomnographer/sleep tech and a valid Sleep Technician/Polysomnography license.
Essential Work Functions
- Review patient history and verify orders
- Provide education to patient and/or family members for either in-center or at-home testing
- Follow procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data
- Identify, correct, and document artifacts to maintain the integrity of the recorded data
- Document routine observations, including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of results
- Implement appropriate interventions as necessary
- Auxiliary in scoring sleep/wake stages and clinical events
- Follow sleep center policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of a Polysomnographer/Sleep Technician
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a sleep technology program
- One year of recent experience as a polysomnographer/sleep tech required
- Valid Sleep Technician/Polysomnography license in compliance with state regulations
- Preferred: Registered Sleep Technologist Certification (CPSGT or RPSGT)
