Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive CareDiscipline: RNStart Date: 10/05/2026Duration: 26 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelJob Summary: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a hospital setting, located in an organization with a high-volume pediatric trauma and specialized care capabilities. This role involves providing comprehensive critical care for pediatric patients with a variety of complex diagnoses, requiring strong high-acuity clinical skills, particularly in respiratory, trauma, and complex medical management. Job Details: Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shift times (0645 - 1915 or 1845 - 0715), minimum 36 hours per week, on a 6-week cycle. Required Qualifications: RN licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), at least 2 years of high-acuity pediatric ICU experience, comfortable in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system, management of invasive lines, critical care vasoactive medications, ventilator and trach management, and pediatric-specific equipment is required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Artic Sun, EVDs, ICP monitoring devices (Camino), Belmont Rapid Infuser, and CRRT. Ability or competency to float to Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) discussed during interview. Additional Information: Candidates should be adaptable to a floating environment across pediatric intensive care units; support includes nursing and ancillary staff such as a CNA, unit secretary, resource nurse, and in-house intensivist and residents.
