Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a facility located in Wichita, Kansas. The role involves providing specialized care in a busy Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, supporting critically ill children with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. The assignment offers an opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma facility, utilizing advanced patient care skills in a dynamic environment.

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, days (7A - 7P)

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• IV starts, blood draws, TPT placements
• Work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment requiring strong composure and teaching ability

Unit Highlights: Level II Trauma designation; 15 beds; staff of 38; high patient acuity.

Requirements

• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• 1 or more years of current acute care hospital experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
• Current PICU RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

• CRRT experience
• APHON Pediatric Teaching Hospital experience
• Familiarity with general Critical Care Monitoring equipment
