Travel Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,875 per week
About the role
Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a 19-week assignment in Alameda, California. This hospital-based position offers a day shift (5x8) with up to 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
- Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
Requirements
- Completion of accredited PTA program
- Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
- Active California PTA licensure/certification
- First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended
Pay
$1,846.33 - $1,903.43 per week
