Travel Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,960 per week

About the role

The clinician would be expected to work in a fast-paced environment at a Level 2 trauma center with specialties including neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and oncological conditions, as well as general medical cases. The position involves working across various units within the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in patient care activities
• Perform therapeutic exercises under supervision
• Administer treatments as directed by physical therapists
• Document patient progress and treatment sessions accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Requirements

• Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a PTA program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
• Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)

Skills

• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
