Travel Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,825 per week

Schedule

• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week

Job Details

• Implements treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Affords assistance with various therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, balance exercises, joint mobility, pain relief, and functional skills training.
• Trains patients in locomotion with orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices, demonstrating proper use and safety techniques.
• Documents patient progress, response to treatment, and provides education to patients and families.
• Follows all safety, infection control, and facility policies, maintaining a safe and clean treatment environment.
• Contributes to team-based care, participates in project initiatives, and shares recent literature findings with peers.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school;
• CAPT (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education) certification;
• One or more years of outpatient clinical experience;
• Current CPR certification;
• Active applicable license for Texas;
• Experience with gait training, therapeutic modalities, and patient education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous assignment experience with the agency or the organization is highly desired;
• Experience with community re-entry training and assistive devices is a plus.
