Travel Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,796 per week

A great SNF / LTC facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join their team for a 13-week travel contract assignment. This role involves working under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist to improve patient mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury.

Responsibilities

• Use physical treatment procedures such as massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, and ultrasound.
• Implement and modify the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
• Perform other assigned exercises and treatments.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or actively in the process of obtaining licensure.

Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• 8-hour day shifts
