About the role
Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant to support a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Lanham, Maryland. This 13-week assignment offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a SNF setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
- Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
Requirements
- Completion of accredited PTA program
- Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
- Active Maryland PTA licensure/certification
- First Aid Certifications (BLS) strongly recommended
Pay
$1,685 - $1,737.11 per week
Schedule
- 13-week assignment
- 40 hours per week
- 8-hour day shifts
- Non-Exempt, Full-Time, On-site
