About the role
Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with Jackson Therapy Partners! You’ll work with patients recovering from injuries or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active—under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistance under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist patients in recovering mobility, reducing pain, and maintaining activity levels
- Work 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Serve coverage areas including Wabash, White, and Hamilton counties
Requirements
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program
- Active state PTA license (required to start the assignment)
- Active PTA license in Illinois
- BLS Certification (may be required from AHA or ARC)

Location Highlights
Mt Vernon offers access to southern Illinois recreation and regional travel routes. Cedarhurst Center for the Arts is located in Mt Vernon, and Rend Lake is about 25 miles south with boating, fishing, and trails. Wayne Fitzgerrell State Recreation Area sits along Rend Lake, and Interstate 57 and Interstate 64 meet in Mt Vernon for straightforward regional travel. St. Louis is about 80 miles west, and the area offers a quieter small-city setting with convenient access to shopping, dining, and outdoor spaces.
