Travel Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,624 per week

Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a contract assignment in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

About the role

A great Outpatient facility is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their team. The PTA works under the supervision of Registered or Licensed Physical Therapists, using physical treatment procedures to improve mobility and relieve pain and disability caused by disease or injury.

Techniques used include: massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction, ultrasound, and assigned exercises.

Shift: Monday - Thursday (2 shifts 7 AM - 3 PM, 2 shifts Noon - 8 PM) and Fridays 10 AM - 6 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under supervision.
• Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients' goals.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from an accredited school.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or proactively in the process of obtaining licensure.
• Current CPR certification.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
