Job Description & Requirements

Responsibilities

• Carry out initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Implement treatment plans using appropriate modalities.
• Document subjective, objective, and assessment findings while planning patient progress.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families or caregivers.
• Aid in patient discharge from therapy services and provide information regarding adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervise and delegate the care provided by physical therapy assistants in accordance with licensing laws and practice standards.
• Operate a motor vehicle to conduct business, if required.

Requirements

• Maine State Physical Therapy licensure is required.
• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is necessary.
• Authorization to Test (ATT) letter from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy upon hire.
• Must pass Maine Background Criminal Check (MBCC) annually.
• Maine Adult Protective Services Background Check required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Pay & Benefits

The Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
