Travel Physical Therapist assignment in a skilled nursing facility located in Lanham, Maryland. Start date: September 7, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks.
About the Role
This is a temporary travel assignment in a skilled nursing care setting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents to determine PT needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, gait, and functional independence
- Reassess progress, document findings, and adjust plans of care accordingly
- Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, safety, and fall prevention
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support discharge planning
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulations and facility policies
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist license in Maryland or eligibility for licensure by endorsement
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program preferred
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of PT experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a SNF environment and comply with facility processes
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Pay
Weekly pay: $2,296–$2,436 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week.
Schedule
Day shifts, five days per week (08:00–16:30).
