Travel Physical Therapist (PT)

About the role

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with physical impairments to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and improve quality of life. Work in settings like hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, developing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercises and manual therapy. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care, educate patients on home programs, and maintain safety standards. Engage in quality improvement and professional development activities, and assist with discharge planning to support patient recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical conditions using tests and examinations
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs
• Operate therapy equipment safely and effectively
• Document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Communicate with healthcare professionals for optimal care
• Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention and self-management
• Maintain a safe environment adhering to protocols and standards
• Contribute to quality assurance and professional growth
• Perform other duties within scope of practice

Requirements

• Valid Physical Therapy license per state regulations
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in English, PC skills, and ability to follow instructions
• Physical ability to move, lift, and assist patients and equipment
• Effective interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
