About the role
A skilled Physical Therapist (PT) is needed for a travel assignment to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with physical impairments. The role involves developing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans, utilizing manual therapy and exercise techniques, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments to identify physical impairments and functional limitations
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Utilize manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques to improve patient outcomes
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and injury prevention
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Adhere to safety standards and infection control protocols
Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical skills in patient evaluation and treatment
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Physical ability to perform necessary tasks, including lifting and manual therapy techniques
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (preferred)
- Prior clinical experience (preferred, but new graduates are welcome)
