About the Role
A skilled Physical Therapist (PT) is needed for a travel assignment in a healthcare facility. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical conditions through tests, examinations, and history-taking
- Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy techniques
- Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment safely
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments, and document outcomes accurately
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, injury prevention, and self-management
- Ensure a safe treatment environment following protocols and standards
- Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities
- Assist in discharge planning and ensure smooth patient transitions
Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapy license in accordance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Strong clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC use
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
- Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
- Visual acuity and effective communication abilities
