About the Role

A skilled Physical Therapist (PT) is needed for a travel assignment in a healthcare facility. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical conditions through tests, examinations, and history-taking
• Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy techniques
• Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment safely
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments, and document outcomes accurately
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, injury prevention, and self-management
• Ensure a safe treatment environment following protocols and standards
• Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities
• Assist in discharge planning and ensure smooth patient transitions

Requirements

• Valid Physical Therapy license in accordance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Strong clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC use
• Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
• Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
• Visual acuity and effective communication abilities
