About the role

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Lexington, South Carolina. Outpatient experience is preferred.

This position offers 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week, with 36 hours guaranteed and the potential to work up to 40 hours. The clinic focuses on an orthopedic patient population, with a productivity expectation of 60 visits per week (12-14 patients per day). Double-booking of follow-up visits is expected, and no floating to other clinics is required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat outpatient orthopedic patients.
  • Meet productivity expectations of 60 visits per week (12-14 patients per day).
  • Manage double-booked follow-up visits.

Requirements

  • Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred.
  • PTA candidates will not be considered.
  • New graduates will not be considered.
  • Valid Physical Therapist license (if applicable).
  • First-time travelers will be considered.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

  • Start Date: August 31, 2026.
  • Duration: 13 weeks.
  • Shift: 8-hour days, 5 days per week (36 hours guaranteed, potential for 40 hours).
  • Overtime must be approved by the director before being worked.
