About the Role
Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT OP) located in NovaCare Swedesboro, this role involves evaluating and developing individualized treatment plans for outpatient patients. The position emphasizes patient education, clinical reasoning, and adherence to regulatory and safety standards, with a focus on facilitating patient recovery and functional return to community activities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates assigned patients, develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans aligned with patient needs, goals, and physician guidance.
- Responsible for delegation and supervision of therapy services for assigned patients, designing functional treatment programs to promote effective community reintegration.
- Acts as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues.
- Ensures compliance with organizational standards of conduct, confidentiality, and safety.
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values, including delivering quality care, safety, teamwork, and resourcefulness.
- Completes comprehensive patient evaluations, manages documentation accurately and in a timely manner, and ensures care is provided under valid physician orders within insurance approvals.
- Participates in student programs, promotes professional growth, adheres to state and regulatory practice acts, and maintains licensure and continuing education requirements.
- Demonstrates commitment to quality improvement and safety initiatives, fostering a safe and effective patient care environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
- CPR Certification
- 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience
- State licensure in good standing
Schedule
Rotating shifts; 8-hour shift time; minimum of 40 hours per week.
