Responsibilities
- Consult and counsel patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
- Effectively communicate with supervisors and other health team members about patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
- Provide comprehensive discharge summaries of services rendered according to regulatory standards.
- Document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to company policy.
- Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided in compliance with all regulations.
- Participate in meetings, including patient care conferences, rehabilitation meetings, and in-service trainings.
- Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as necessary.
- Adhere to APTA and State Required practice acts and ethics during professional practice.
Requirements
- 1 year of Physical Therapy experience is required; new graduates are acceptable if they have level II experience.
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation is required.
- Current Physical Therapist license in Oklahoma is required.
