Travel Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab - $2,326 per week
About the Role
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient/inpatient rehab setting in Monticello, Indiana. This is a 13-week travel assignment starting September 1, 2026, with a 40-hour workweek on a day shift schedule (5x8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM). Occasional Saturday on-call coverage is required. The role involves floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.
The setting is a short-term acute care hospital with a primary focus on the outpatient patient population. The caseload includes exposure to acute care, outpatient clinic, orthopedic, neurologic, and pediatric populations. Cerner is used for charting, and prior experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients across outpatient and inpatient rehab settings.
- Treat a range of conditions including orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, neurologic conditions, and pediatric developmental needs.
- Utilize adaptive equipment, mobility devices, and therapeutic modalities (e.g., E-stim, ultrasound, cervical/lumbar traction, cryotherapy) as part of patient care.
- Provide patient and family education along with home exercise programs.
- Document evaluations, plans of care, and reassessments.
- Work 2 of 3 major holidays.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Manual Therapy certification preferred.
- License required if applicable; pending state license accepted.
- Two supervisor references required.
- Experience with orthopedic, neurologic, and pediatric populations preferred.
- Proficiency in modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, cervical/lumbar traction, and cryotherapy preferred.
