About the role

We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapist for a 13-week contract position in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have inpatient rehab experience, particularly in neuro, ortho, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and spinal cord injury (SCI) therapy. This role involves utilizing various modalities, including estim, to facilitate patient recovery and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients in an inpatient rehab setting.
• Implement and assess therapy interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary medical team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in mobility therapy utilizing various equipment, including portable and in-room lifts.
• Engage patients in supportive therapy activities, including pet therapy and group support initiatives.

Requirements

• Inpatient rehab experience and Care Tool training.
• Certifications: OTR/L, CPR BLS.
• Advanced skills in neuro and ortho rehabilitation, as well as experience with TBI and SCI treatments.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.

Schedule

Days: Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends.
