Travel Physical Therapist Inpatient - $2,555 per week

About the role

Physical Therapist Inpatient provides comprehensive physical therapy services to inpatients and outpatients, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, follow-up, and discharge planning. The role supports patient education, care coordination, department operations, performance improvement activities, and supervision of physical therapy assistants, rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students.

Schedule

Day shift, 5 days per week at 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's, or entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university in physical therapy
• Current New Mexico physical therapist licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Successful completion of required pre-employment and annual health screening examinations

Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive physical, cognitive, and age-specific evaluations
• Developing individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
• Documenting evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other clinical information
• Participating in patient and family conferences, care conferences, educational programs, and interdisciplinary meetings
• Providing patient and family education
• Coordinating discharge planning
• Supporting student and volunteer programs
• Assisting with department operations, patient scheduling, staff supervision, orientation, productivity, and performance improvement activities
• Making appropriate community referrals
• Adapting care to meet each patient's physical, psychological, cultural, developmental, and age-specific needs

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
