About the role

The physical therapist specializing in inpatient care in Chico, California, is responsible for providing comprehensive therapy services to geriatric and adult patient populations. This role involves assessing, developing, and implementing treatment plans to support recovery from conditions such as cerebrovascular accidents, traumatic brain injuries, and fractures, contributing to the patients overall rehabilitation process.

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop, and implement treatment plans for inpatient rehabilitation patients.
• Provide therapy services to geriatric and adult populations with diagnoses including cerebrovascular accidents, traumatic brain injuries, fractures, and cardiac conditions.
• Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, specifically EPIC.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit (currently capped at 30 beds).

Requirements

• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
• No minimum years of experience required.
• Friendly and flexible personality to enhance patient care and team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in inpatient or acute rehabilitation settings.

Schedule

• Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Assignment duration: 13 weeks, starting 09/07/2026.
