Travel Physical Therapist General Job
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of inpatients to determine physical therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care aligned with patient goals and facility protocols
- Deliver interventions such as gait training, mobility activities, range of motion, strength training, and functional conditioning
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and discharge planning to support smooth transitions
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure coordinated care and timely discharge planning
Requirements
- Hawaii physical therapy license in good standing or eligibility for licensure
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Inpatient acute care experience preferred
- Ability to work days with weekend coverage and maintain 36-40 hours per week
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to support a hospital-based care team
