About the role

This is a 13-week contract position for an Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant in Carrollton, Georgia. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role involves assisting the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient responses, and demonstrating therapeutic interventions while embracing the Select Medical Way and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals and plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Train patients in locomotion and the use of assistive devices.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as whirlpools, hot/cold packs, and ultrasound.
• Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary.
• Document patient progress and responses to treatments.
• Participate in team conferences and collaborate with other healthcare disciplines.
• Maintain safety standards and a clean treatment area, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Demonstrate good customer service attitude towards patients and staff.

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE certified.
• Active and applicable state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• CPR Certification.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
