Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Inpatient Rehab - $2,166 per week
About the role
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with acute inpatient rehab experience for a 26-week travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. This role provides primary coverage in Acute Rehab and secondary coverage in ICF/SNF Rehab within an acute inpatient hospital setting.
Shift: Variable, including Mon-Fri, Tues-Sat, or Sun-Thurs (8:30am-5:00pm). Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary based on hospital operations. Uses Meditech EMR for documentation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients.
- Plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic physical therapy program as prescribed by the attending physician or consulting specialist.
- Provide consulting physical therapist services as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience working with adult patients in at least one of the following settings: acute, rehab hospital, or SNF.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Hawaii state PT license required by start of assignment.
- Acute care experience required.
- Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of the assignment (plan to arrive prior to a Monday start to report the preceding Friday morning).
Schedule
- Duration: 26 weeks.
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts (flexible).
