Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital - $2,700 per week

Travel Physical Therapist position in Glendive, Montana.

About the role

This is a 13-week travel assignment with a start date of 10/02/2026. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy in an acute care hospital with a 24-hour emergency department, full medical and surgical services, and an attached 71-bed skilled extended care facility. The facility is a Level IV trauma center with 25 total staffed beds.

Clinicians will float within scope to meet facility needs. The position is open to accommodating a block schedule and accepts local candidates with no radius rule. Free housing is available.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Adhere to a 1:6 clinician-to-patient ratio.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required.
• Chart using Cerner electronic health records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• First-time travel clinicians are not accepted for this role.
• No weekend shifts (Monday-Friday position).
• BLS certification and a valid state license required; compact license accepted.
• Pending licenses are not accepted, but Montana state licenses can be obtained in 8 weeks if needed.
• No on-call requirement.

Schedule

• 5x8-hour shifts (0800-1700), Monday through Friday.
• Guaranteed hours options:
  • 8- and 10-hour shifts: 40 hours guaranteed weekly.
  • 3x12-hour shifts: 36 hours guaranteed weekly.
  • 4x12-hour shifts: 48 hours guaranteed weekly.
• No return-to-office (RTO) within the first two weeks due to orientation; limit RTO to one week thereafter.
